         QR code is a two-dimensional barcode created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is a tag that is derived from "Quick Response". It stores information by embedding several types of data into it like characters, music, images, URLs, emails or others. We can encode the data into the QR code by using a special generator. And derive the data from it by using a special reader installed in a camera mobile phone[*]. The users open the QR reader and scan tag with the camera, the reader encodes the tag and opens the URL.

        We used it in our system to enhance the effectiveness of learning, by encoding URL's into QR tags and publish it to the students in order to scan it for several purposes. We choose to use that technology in our system for several reasons:

1. It makes browsing internet pages in mobile phone easer; instead of typing the URL manually we just scan the QR tag.

2. We want to introduce a new technology into our university, in order to improve the learning process.
